Match worn shirt from when the Hull FC reserves played in these special commemorative Pro shirts prior to the Jack Harrison Centenary fixture at the MKM Stadium on 28th April 2017. They played against the GB Armed Forces RL team in the Jack Harrison Challenge

The commemorative shirt was issued as part of a wider programme of celebration and memorial events that took place to mark 100 years since Jack Harrison VC MC was killed during WWI and posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross.

At the age of just 26, he became the first sportsman to be bestowed with the honour, having already earned his place as one of Hull’s greatest rugby league players, winning the Challenge Cup in 1913.

The free-scoring winger also holds the record for the most tries scored in a season for the club, which still stands today at 52.
