HISTORY - Harlequins rugby is a professional rugby union team based in London, England. The club was founded in 1866, making it one of the oldest rugby clubs in the world.

The early years of Harlequins rugby were marked by the club's distinctive multicolored kit, which included diamonds of various colours. This kit gave rise to the club's nickname, the "Harlequins."

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Harlequins played in the top level of English rugby and won a number of prestigious trophies, including the Middlesex Sevens and the Rugby Football Union (RFU) County Championship.

In recent years, Harlequins have also been known for their exciting and innovative style of play, which has earned them a legion of fans both in England and around the world. The club's current roster includes a number of talented players, including England internationals Danny Care, Joe Marler, and Mike Brown
